Our Story
Okay, there is probably enough sarcasm in the Bride Story and Groom's Story sections. Time for the mushy stuff.
Buddy and Elizabeth were introduced by a mutual friend over a year ago. Despite the fact that Elizabeth didn't think she could ever fall for a Texan named 'Buddy' there was an instant attraction, an evolving bond, and intense love soon to follow.
A water theme pretty much runs throughout their story. As far back as the second date, Buddy and Elizabeth literally dove into the relationship at a pool party (like second dates aren't stressful enough - try throwing in bathing suits, water volley ball, and a whole lot of strangers to the mix). But despite the odds, it became true romance in the making.
Somewhere throughout a summer of boating, wake boarding and romantic fireworks on the water, they fell in love. Their love was tested but grew stronger during a fabulous snorkeling and scuba-diving adventure in the Virgin Islands.
In February, after much secret scheming, Buddy proposed to Elizabeth - via a note in a bottle - from a boat in the middle of beautiful Lake Austin. She accepted and the rest is history. Or, history in the making.
We're so glad that you all will be there as we start our new official life together.
